“Farewell sue” campaign for TBNW

Flyer & design done by Andrew Ross Designs

This project was made for Sue Bird’s final regular season home game before she retired back in August of 2022. Along with creating this campaign for Sue Bird’s legacy, we also decided to donate a percentage of the profits to the NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) organization which I knew Sue was heavily involved in. Once we posted this and Sue saw that we were donating some of the profits to a charity that she works day in and day out with, she backed & supported the project herself and even ended up putting our campaign video in her social media stories, telling her fans to all grab one. After Sue posted about it, the @wnba & @seattlestorm official instagram pages both posted about it as well!

Julio Rodriguez “rookie of the year” capsule FOR TBNW

For this project, I came up with a video concept that was inspired by a project that Seattle-based videography company & creative agency, Swimteam had done for another Seattle Mariner, JP Crawford. I also contacted local rapper, Travis Thompson, who wrote and rapped an exclusive verse over the video, mentioning Julio’s achievements and significance to the city of Seattle. This project garnered the attention of both Julio & his agent at Octagon Sports, where we held a discussion of potentially becoming the designer and supplier of Julio Rodriguez’s official merchandise. Along with creating this campaign for Julio’s historic rookie year, we also donated a percentage of the profits to the Dominican Association of Washington State who was raising funds for the victims in the D.R. that suffered from the damages from Hurricane Fiona.

Sneakercon x nate robinson COLLAB

Flyer & design done by Andrew Ross Designs

Sneaker Con is the world’s premier sneaker show, providing a huge space for vendors and attendees to buy, sell, and trade some of the most sought-after footwear in the game. Every city they go to, they try to partner with some of the local celebrities and professional athletes to do a meet ‘n’ greet or sell some exclusive merchandise that has something to do with them. I was fortunate enough to receive a phone call back from one of the founders of Sneakercon who saw my e-mail with my previous work and they wanted to collaborate together! They asked us to design a t-shirt for NBA All-star & legend Nate Robinson. On top of that, we were also able to land a collaborative post with them on Instagram with their 3 million+ followers. @Sneakercon usually charges $20,000 for a collaborative post but we were able to land it for free of charge. We’re also in discussions for future projects for @sneakercon as well.

Jeff hamilton meet ‘n’ greet

In the days leading up to Sneakercon Seattle 2023, I was contacted by AJ Weir, Jeff Hamilton’s assistant, about the possibility of setting up a Meet ‘N’ Greet with the legendary designer himself. AJ also did contact other shops about a possible meet ‘n’ greet but the vision that I was able to sell him on and what I told him we could bring to the table as far as marketing and advertising led to him choosing us rather than some of our corporate competitors. When Jeff showed up for the event, he was extremely impressed with the lengths that we took for marketing & advertising. Such as the window decals & flyers we had made and the production team we had on-site to recap & document the whole event. When it was said and done, Jeff specifically told us that was easily one of the better experiences he had in the thousands of pop-ups and meet ‘n’ greets that he had done throughout his career.
